Friendly Manor has retained an Advisory Physician who is available to oversee all medical care at the facility. A physician is available to the home 24 hours a day and when required residents are transferred to the community hospital in Napanee.

All residents are invited to attend weekly inter-denominational church services and well as planned activities to enjoy hymn singing and bible readings. There are also denominational church services that are planned monthly.

A comprehensive Palliative Care program is in place for residents and families.

Maintaining community involvement is essential and our residents often attend community functions. Groups and individuals are always welcome to the facility to provide entertainment or other services. Staff and residents are actively involved in fund raising activities to raise money for local charities. Friendly Manor has a country music jamboree annually to raise funds for the residents fund. Residents, families and visitors enjoy this musical filled day by local musicians.

Friendly Manor is equipped with a sprinkler system throughout the facility. The home conducts monthly fire drills on every shift and all staff are involved. The residents and families are encouraged to participate. The facility conducts an annual evacuation which is tested by the Napanee Fire Department. There is a Controlled Smoking Room located at the South end of the building. For the safety of our residents all exit doors are alarmed and magnetically locked.
